At Smile Hawthorn, we ensure that all children are empowered to keep their teeth healthy throughout their life, reducing their dental needs in the future!
Infants are born with almost all their baby teeth formed. The average age for baby teeth to start to come through is about 6 months. It is recommended that a child's first dental visit should be soon after their first teeth come through.
Most children should have the full complement of baby teeth (20 in total) by about 2 years and will lose their last baby tooth at about 12 years.
During this time, instilling good oral hygiene techniques, diet and regular dental checks is important.
At Smile Hawthorn, we are always ready to answer queries you have about your child's dental health.
